A fragment of stone unearthed lying outside the south-east corner of the churchyard. Partially re-assembled on the lawn of Kirktoun House.
Here lies the dust of Adam BREMNER wh(o) some time lived in Gr..n.. and died in Heughin (?) November 177...aged 77 and his spouse Jannet SU... aged 77 years....by Will...BREMNER in memory of there (sic) parents.

their daughter who died 15 MAY 1794 aged 24. Reverse: This stone below is in memory of the BREMNERS of Drumgrain in which place they lived more than 300 years prior to 1785.
