In hopes of a blessed resurrection. Here lies the body of Beatrix BREMNER spouse to John SELLAR, Shenval, who erected this to her memorie. She deaparted this life August the 28 day 1738 aged 40 years.

  (no image)   A fragment of stone unearthed lying outside the south-east corner of the churchyard. Partially re-assembled on the lawn of Kirktoun House.

Here lies the dust of Adam BREMNER wh(o) some time lived in Gr..n.. and died in Heughin (?) November 177...aged 77 and his spouse Jannet SU... aged 77 years....by Will...BREMNER in memory of there (sic) parents.

And of Elspet DUFF, spouse of George COCKBURN, Tobacconist in Keith who died 04 JAN 1846 aged 25. And of George COCKBURN, Tobacconist in KEith who died 18 FEB 1874 aged 73 years. And of Janet DUFF who died 26 APR 1875 aged 63. And of Robert COCKBURN, Feuar in Keith who died 17 OCT 1831 aged 58.

  Face of stone:

1852. Erected by George COCKBURN, Tobacconist, Keith in memory of his uncle John BREMNER sonmetime in Woodend, Botriphnie, who departed this life 03 JAN 1836 aged 74, and of Margaret BREMNER his aunt who departed this life 05 SEP 1833 aged 67, having bestowed upon him paternal and maternal care and affection they sought the beter country and thrie dust rests hers in the hope of a blessed resurrection. Also in memory of Margaret LOBBAN, spouse of the said John BREMNER died 18 JAN 1818 aged 34. John BREMNER their son, sometime Superintendent of Rural Police in this county who died 27 SEP 1843 aged 29, Alexander BREMNER uncle of the said George COCKBURN who died 10 JUL 1906 aged 30. Alexander BREMNER, sometime in Towiebeg, grandfather to the said George COCKBURN who died 05 JAN 1794 aged 74. Jean MILNE his spouse who died DEC 1810 aged 73. Jean BREMNER their daughter who died 15 MAY 1794 aged 24.

Reverse: This stone below is in memory of the BREMNERS of Drumgrain in which place they lived more than 300 years prior to 1785.

  Sacred to the memory of James MACDONALD who died at Blackhillock, Keith 06 DEC 1847 aged 48 years. Also of his son-in-law James GORDON, Wood MErchant, who died at Inceh 18 SEP 1867 aged 44 years. Also of John, son of the above named James MACDONALD who died at Llanberis, North Wales, 28 OCT 1869 aged 22 years and lies buried here. Also of Margaret BREMNER wife of the above named James MACDONALD who died at Keith 27 DEC 1871 aged 65 years.
        Margaret BREMNER was one of (at least) 12 children to farmer John BREMNER and Isabel DICK. John was the son of John BREMNER and Jane WATT.

Also of Elizabeth BREMNER died in Huntly 02 MAY 1872 aged 82 years. Also their son Alexander who died in the island of Jamaica 09 JUN 1854 aged 41 years. Also their son Archibald who died in Aberdeen 27 AUG 1871 aged 48 years. Also their son Charles who died in Keith 18 AUG 1855 aged 20 years. Also their daughter Ann who died in London 01 MAY 1875 aged 40 years. Also of their sons Robert who died in London 08 SEP 1885 aged 67 years, and John who died in Huntly 08 JAN 1886 aged 74. And of William who died in London 29 MAR 1886 aged 70 years.

        Elizabeth BREMNER was the daughter of farmer John BREMNER and Elspet TAYLOR.
         
 
  Sacred to the memory of Margaret MITCHELL beloved wife of Alexander GRANT who died 08 MAR 1913 aged 81 years. Their daughter Hellen who died 26 DEC 1877 aged 15 years, their grandson Pattie BREMNER who died 09 MAR 1898 aged 16 months, also Alexander who died 18 AUG 1930 aged 86 years.

  In loving memory of James BREMNER Lower Towie, died 23 FEB 1947 aged 67 years. Also his beloved wife Annie INNES died 05 MAR 1962 aged 78 years. Their daughter Martina died 10 JUL 1986 aged 81 years, their son Edward died 10 AUG 1992 aged 81 years.

        James BREMNER was one of (at least) 12 children to farmer Thomas BREMNER and Mary BANNERMAN. Thomas was the son of Thomas BREMNER and Isabel ANDERSON.
