Robert Balmanno Grave, St. Nicholas, Aberdeen

Located in Section D, Lair 222, St. Nicholas Kirkyard, I have been unable to find any grave marker for the Balmanno
family in Aberdeen. The photograph shows the area of the cemetery where the lair is situated; the lack of marker may be accounted for
by the fact that the family were reputed to have been Quakers.

In memory of Robert Balmanno, merchant, burgess, Aberdeen, died 20 JUL 1820 aged 88 years. Elizabeth
Buchan his spouse died 12 APR 1804 aged 69 years, also six of their children. Janet Sutherland,
his second spouse died 17 NOV 1829 aged 60 years."
