About this collection...
This Brebner/Bremner census database has been made from transcriptions of the US census available at . Many names on the page images border on illegibility, and many have been indexed very creatively! Bremmer and Brenner variants have only been included if the country of origin was England or Scotland; Bremner variants were not included if the individual's country of origin was Germany or Switzerland, unless there was convincing evidence that they may have had Scottish ancestry.

In many cases, connections to existing families and compiled genealogies have been established.

Search Tips:

•  *   You must enter a first name!
•  *   You must enter a year!
•  All surname spellings (Brebner, Bremner, Brymer, Brimer etc.) will be searched. Subsequent page(s) will show full households and other surnames within the family.
•  Name entry is case-insensitive; JANE, Jane, jane, JaNE will produce the same results.
•  All common variants of names are searched; ie: Katie, Kathrine, Catharine etc. will all produce the same results, as will Isabel, Isobella, Bella, etc. If in doubt, use the most common spelling.
•  These census transcriptions are very much an ongoing project; please e-mail me if you don't see results here and I'll check my master databases.
